Microsoft has released a major update for its Outlook.com app for Android devices that flaunts a new user interface along with a number of feature additions to bring it at par with Windows 8 and web versions. With this update, the app sheds the old look to feature a cleaner, better arranged, user friendly interface, and carries several new features including more interactive thread-based conversations, adds filters for unread and flagged mails, and the ability to mark messages as junk. This apart, it includes a separate app for supporting Exchange ActiveSync. Microsoft s Exchange ActiveSync technology has been a part of Windows Phone, iOS and other mobile devices, however have limited support on Google s Android devices.
