Xiaomi has announced that over the past nine months, it shipped more than a million Mi TVs in the country. Back in August, Xiaomi had said that it sold about half a million TVs in India over six months. This means that it took the company just three months to double that number. This increase can be attributed to the Diwali season sales, which the company has been running for the past few weeks.
Last month, a report by IDC revealed that Xiaomi led the Smart TV segment in India in the second quarter of 2018. Making its debut in the segment in Q1 2018, Xiaomi tripled its shipments over the next quarter, becoming the leader in the category.
