Panasonic India has launched two new cameras under its LUMIX series, called the DMC-FZ1000 and DMC-FZ300. Both the cameras support 4K photo and video recording capabilities, and are priced at Rs 45,990 and Rs 58,990 respectively. The DMC-FZ1000 features a 1-inch 20.1-megapixel MOS sensor with 5-axis Hybrid Optical Image Stabilizer, 5-step speed control that neutralizes vibrations, and 16X optical zoom. The DMC-FZ300, on the other hand, a 12.1-megapixel f/2.8 camera sensor, 24X optical zoom, and is packaged in a dust-proof rugged design. Both the cameras offer 4K photo and video recording capabilities, and also feature 4K Burst Shooting, 4K Burst S/S (Start/Stop) and 4K Pre-burst. Common features of the two cameras include autofocus time of just 0.09 seconds, high-sensitivity MOS sensor, OLED live viewfinders, and Venus Engine image processor. As is the case with most cameras in the Lumix range, these two cameras too feature Wi-Fi support and are compatible with smartphones and tablets.
We see immense potential in the Indian market for the possibilities of 4K images and videos, as ultra high definition 4K is trending across the global camera landscape, and poised to replace full HD shooting, Gaurav Ghavri, Product Head, Panasonic India said. In tandem with this, Panasonic has brought 4K imaging products to both the professional and amateur Indian photographer, to stay ahead of the technology curve.
