Panasonic has launched a new smartphone from the Eluga series in Taiwan. The Panasonic Eluga C smartphone is priced at TWD 6,000, which roughly translates to Rs 12,900. The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders via the company’s official website in Taiwan. There are two color options for the Eluga C pink and blue. The Eluga C’s highlight is undoubtedly its bezel-less design on three sides of the smartphone. Other than the bottom bezel, the smartphone has almost no bezels on top, left and right sides. The bottom panel houses a home button, and also the selfie camera lens similar to Xiaomi’s Mi MIX series. The Eluga C also has a design similar to the Sharp Aquos smartphone. Another highlight of the smartphone is its dual-camera setup, which is located at the back. The dual-camera module on the smartphone includes a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors of f/2.2 aperture.
Panasonic Eluga C specifications
The Panasonic Eluga C features a 5.5-inch HD display with screen-to-body ratio of 84.6 percent. Under the hood is a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz. The Eluga C comes with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card.
Up front, the smartphone houses an 8-megapixel camera of the same f/2.2 aperture. The connectivity options available on the Eluga C include dual-SIM support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. The smartphone also has a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button, which is claimed to unlock the smartphone in 0.3 seconds. Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,000mAh battery along with a 7.5W charger. The Android OS version hasn’t been listed on the website.
