Panasonic has launched a new smartphone, called the Eluga PRIM today. The new smartphone brings in a host of new features as compared to phones the company has been launching in the recent times. The smartphone has a full-metal finish body and a round fingerprint scanner at the front. The home button doubles up like the fingerprint scanner. Priced at Rs 10,290, the smartphone will be available in two color options gold and silver, and is available on all brand outlets across the country. Panasonic Eluga PRIM specifications
The Panasonic Eluga PRIM comes with a 5-inch HD IPS on-cell 2.5D curved Asahi glass display. At the heart the smartphone is powered by a 1.25 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of inbuilt storage with further expandable storage option up to 128GB.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with triple LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Armed with a 2, 500mAh battery, the smartphone features connectivity options such as dual SIM 4G with VoLTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS. It also features USB OTG (on-the-go). On the software front, the Eluga PRIM runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS out-of-the-box.
At this price point, the Eluga PRIM will face fierce competition from the likes of Lenovo K6 Power and Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, sports a 5.5-inch full HD display and under the hood Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage. It further comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone is 4G VoLTE enabled and offers dual-SIM support. The smartphone draws its juice from a 4,050mAh battery. It is priced at Rs 9,999.
The Lenovo K6 Power flaunts a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 450-nit brightness and 441ppi. Under the hood is Qualcomm s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU, and 3GB of RAM. There is 32GB internal storage on offer, which can be expanded using a microSD card. There is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera up front. There is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back, and among the talking points is the device s 4,000mAh battery. The device runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1, and there is support for dual-app feature, which will basically lets you run two accounts on messaging apps like WhatsApp, and Hike among others.
