After launching the P77 last month, Panasonic has now launched a new smartphone, called the Eluga Tapp. Priced at Rs 8,990, the smartphone will be available in two color options – champagne gold and silver grey. The smartphone will be available across all brand outlets across the country. The smartphone sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash. There is also a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The smartphone features a 2,800mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the Eluga Tapp supports 4G, VoLTE, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and micro USB 2.0. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
Talking about the competitions, the Eluga Tapp will compete with the likes of Redmi 3s Prime, Motorola Moto E3 Power and Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus. The smartphones are priced at Rs 8,999, Rs 7,999 and Rs 8,499 respectively.
The Redmi 3s Prime features a full metal body. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime features a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with onboard storage of 32GB, and supports expandable storage up to 128GB. It runs Android based MIUI 7. On the photography front, the Redmi 3s Prime sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, PDAF and full HD video recording support. It has a 5-megapixel front camera with f/2.2 aperture and full HD video recording support. The smartphone offers connectivity options like dual-SIM (hybrid SIM slot), 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi. It is powered by a 4,100mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with fingerprint scanner at the back.
Taking about Moto E3 Power, the smartphone comes with a splash-proof body. This makes the smartphone water repellent, which means it can survive and accidental splash of water or light rains. Specifications wise, the smartphone flaunts a 5-inch HD display. It is powered by MediaTek’s MT6735p quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB onboard storage, supports microSD card for further expansion. On the camera front, it sports an 8-megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash. Up front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The Moto E3 Power comes with a 3,500mAh battery with Turbo Charging feature. On the connectivity front, the smartphone include 4G VoLTE support, 3.5mm audio jack, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS and dual-SIM card slots. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 out-of-the-box. However, the Moto E3 Power lacks a fingerprint scanner.
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with stereo speakers at the back along with support for Dolby ATMOS. It also supports Lenovo’s ‘TheaterMax’ technology that can convert any multimedia content into a virtual reality experience. It flaunts a 5-inch full HD IPS display with pixel density of 441ppi. It runs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on offer is 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot for expansion up to 128GB. The smartphone comes equipped with a 13-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with LED flash, and a front-facing 5-megapixel camera. The smartphone comes with a 2,750mAh battery. With connectivity options such as dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi, it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Lenovo’s Vibe UI. And just like the Moto E3 Power, the Vibe K5 Plus also doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor.
