Panasonic has launched a new budget smartphone called the P100. The Panasonic P100 will be available in two variants 1GB RAM variant priced at Rs 5,299, and 2GB RAM version priced at Rs 5,999. The smartphone is exclusively available via Flipkart. Buyers will be able to choose from blue, black, gold, and Dark Grey colors. Panasonic has also announced Gold Utsav consumer offer for P100 smartphone, which is valid between February 8 and March 31. As a part of the offer, those buying the P100 will get a lucky Coupon Card with a unique code. These winners can then get a chance to win Gold up to 10 grams on successfully completing the offer participation process. In terms of specifications, the Panasonic P100 comes with a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) display, and 1.25GHz MediaTek MT6737 quad-core 64-bit SoC paired with Mali-T720 GPU. It also comes with 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD.
For photography, the smartphone is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. Armed with 2,200mAh battery, the smartphone also comes with connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box.
In terms of competition, the Panasonic P100 will compete with already established smartphones such as the Xiaomi Redmi 5A, 10.or D, and Nokia 2. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced at Rs 5,999 for the 2GB/16GB variant and Rs 6,999 for the 3GB/32GB variant. The 10.or D is priced at Rs 4,999, whereas the Nokia 2 is available at Rs 6,999.
