Japanese TV maker Panasonic is reportedly planning to stop manufacturing Plasma TVs from next year. This drastic step has been taken as part of massive cost cutting in the company’s television business, Reuters reports.

Panasonic has already stopped developing new Plasma TVs and next year will stop producing them all together. “We are considering a number of options regarding our TV business. According to the report, the exit from Plasma TVs won’t in anyway affect the production of LCD and LED TVs.
