Pebble, which can be termed as the first popular smartwatch, will finally play well with iOS. A new update that will be pushed out soon integrates with iOS 7’s notification center and all notifications that posts a popup or banner. The notifications not only includes emails, text messages and calendars, but also third party apps. Essentially, you can get notified about any app that pushes popup or banner notification on your iPhone on the smartwatch. Pebble has also launched an app for iPhone 4S and upwards that are running iOS 7. The smartwatch will connect with iPhones over Bluetooth Low Energy. Pebble today also announced its SDK 2.0, which includes APIs for the accelerometer, data logging and persistent storage. This will enable fitness and other apps access to data even when the watch is not connected to the smartphone. The smartwatch maker has also tied up with Foursquare, iControl, Yelp and GoPro, which will release their apps for Pebble soon. Finally, Pebble is now available in stock to buy and is being shipped worldwide for $150.
