Philips has launched its latest range of LED TVs in India. The new line up includes seven non-smart and smart LED televisions that covers screen sizes from 22-inch to 65-inch display. The 22-inch full-HD LED at is the cheapest offering in the new range at Rs 9,990. The big-screen 65-inch 4K Ultra-Slim Philips Ambilight 65PUT6703S will retail at Rs 1,49,990. These new Philips televisions will be available mid-December onwards through both online and offline channels.
TPV Technologies, the brand license partner for Philips TV’s and audio in India, notes that company’s current retail presence is spread across 35000+ stores with more than 200 distributors. Additionally, it plans expand service centers count by more than double until 2019.

The new Philips smart TV range comes company’s own television UI ‘SAPHI’ to offer curated content and user friendly icon-based menu, which sounds similar to Xiaomi’s Patchwall. The latest 65-inch Philips LED TV comes fully equipped with 3-sided Ambilight, which according to company makes movies and games feel more immersive.
These televisions are claimed to include special ‘Micro Dimming’ software which analyzes the picture in 6400 different zones and adjusts it accordingly, noted press statement.
These include intelligent LEDs around the edges of the TV, and with the ‘Ambilight music mode’ on, these Ambilight output syncs with the music to show lights on wall. The range also comes fitted with the latest technology including Pixel Precise HD. Philips 4K Tvs (6100/ 6700 series) are also equipped with HDR Plus.
