Huawei it seems is working on expanding its Windows Phone 8 smartphones portfolio by adding the successor to the Ascend W1 launched a few months back at the CES. The alleged press render of the Ascend W2 posted by the @evleak shows that the company indeed is planning on launching a new WP 8 device sooner than later. In terms of specifications, nothing concrete can be said about the phone but if rumors are to be believed the Ascend W2 would feature a 4.3-inch HD display along with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB RAM powering it under the hood. It is also expected to sport an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, and offer connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and HSPA+. It might also feature a 2100mAh battery.
The phone is likely to get released for a price below Rs 17,000 but there is no assured information on either the release date or the price. However, there is a possibility that the company announces this phone at the Computex next week.
