In an interesting turn of events, Pierce Brosnan’s Pan Bahar masala advertisement is back in news once again. But this time, it s an accusation by former James Bond that Pan Bahar violated the contract he signed. Brosnan says that the company falsely presented him as a brand ambassador for its entire range of products, while he had agreed to advertise only a single product. In fact, he claims that the product he was under contract to advertise was presented to him as “all-natural containing neither tobacco, supari, nor any other harmful ingredient”. In a statement to the People Magazine, Brosnan said he was deeply shocked and saddened about the events that rose after the actor s controversial participation in the endorsement of Pan Bahar products. As a man who has spent decades championing women s healthcare and environmental protection, I was distressed to learn of Pan Bahar s unauthorized and deceptive use of my image to endorse their range of pan masala products. I would never have entered into an agreement to promote a product in India that is dangerous to one s health, his statement read. According to the Pierce Brosnan, he was asked by the company to advertise a breath freshener or tooth whitener, which wouldn t turn the saliva red. Brosnan has demanded Pan Bahar to remove his image from its advertisements and all its products. He claims that the company has grossly manipulated the media outlets into believing him as the brand ambassador of the company, and that he would ensure to rectify the matter. In the meantime, please accept my sincerest and heartfelt apologies to all whom I have offended, he concluded.
However, while Pierce Brosnan is apologizing and clearing the air about the alleged false representation of his image by the pan masala company, netizens are not letting a single opportunity pass without taking a jab at it. Brosnan has been one of the top Twitter trends since last night, after his statement was released online. And if you follow the trend, it is quite a laughter riot, from comparing him to an unaware engineer student, to comparing him to a tourist in India, social media has some really interesting takes on how the Indian pan masala company tricked the MI5 agent.
Pierce Brosnan says he didn’t know reality of Pan Bahar before he signed up to advertise. Sounds like a Delhi resident who voted for AAP.

Pierce Brosnan will soon find out that the “Shaken but not stirred Martini” he was having all these years was actually Masala Limca. Gabbbar (@GabbbarSingh) October 21, 2016
Pierce Brosnan thought he was endorsing a, “tooth whitener.” Pan Bahar does whiten your teeth. They fall out. Then you get brand new ones. Sorabh Pant (@hankypanty) October 21, 2016
Pierce Brosnan is like an Engineering Student who study whole night for the next day examination, but had no idea what he is studying.

It was earlier this month that the Indian newspaper readers met with an early morning surprise with a full page ad, in a national newspaper, of Pierce Brosnan posing for Pan Bahar. Social media went absolutely bonkers over the brilliant collaboration of an Indian pan masala company and James Bond. In addition to the newspaper ad, a commercial was also released on YouTube, which showed him doing very Bond-like stunts, except that this time all the stratagem was performed using one low-tech device, which was a weaponized pan masala tin-pack. While this time they took out their big guns with Pierce Brosnan, Pan Bahar has had a history of hiring Bollywood stars. Previously, father-son duo, Feroz Khan and Fardeen Khan and more recently Saif Ali Khan have endorsed the brand. However, the big gun-pulling seems to be triggering a backfire for Pan Bahar. If what Brosnan has claimed is true, the Indian pan masala company might see itself in a big soup soon.
