Xiaomi created quite a storm in the technology world last month when it launched the Poco F1, the first smartphone under the company’s newly-minted Poco sub-brand. Although Xiaomi has always been about value-for-money devices, the F1 is arguably its best bang-for-buck smartphone that you can currently get. In fact, you can buy one today, since the Poco F1 is going to go on sale today. Here’s everything you need to know:

Poco F1: Flash sale details, price, and offers

Limited units of Poco F1 will be available for purchase via flash sale at 12PM today, on both Flipkart and Mi India’s websites. All hardware configurations and colour variants will be up for grabs, so you have quite a few choices. As is always the case with flash sales, the smartphone will likely go out of stock in mere seconds, so it’s advisable to use a stable and fast network connection.

Poco F1’s price starts at Rs 20,999 and goes all the way up to Rs 29,999, depending upon the RAM/internal storage configuration and colour (only in case of the ‘Armoured’ edition) you choose.

As part of the ‘Jio Poco F1 offer’, successful buyers shall be entitled to benefits of up to Rs 8,000. These include an instant Jio cashback of Rs 2,400 (credited in the form of 24 vouchers of Rs 100 each), and up to Rs 5,600 instant discount on flights and hotels booked on MakeMyTrip. Jio subscribers will get up to 6TB of additional 4G data as well. Lastly, they’ll also be able to enjoy free 3-month subscription to Hungama Music.

Poco F1: Specifications and features

Don’t let the modest price tag fool you, as the Poco F1 is packed with (some) top-of-the-line hardware. It’s powered by Qualcomm’s (current) flagship Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with 6/8GB of RAM and 64/128/256GB of internal storage. The smartphone sports a 6.18-inch notched display with a resolution of 1080×2246 pixels and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Poco-themed MIUI overlay baked on top.

For imaging, there’s a dual camera system at the back, including a 12-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor. There’s also a 20-megapixel sensor up front for selfies and video calls. All standard connectivity options (including USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio) are on-board, with a 4,000mAh battery keeping the lights on.
