While Twitter has about 3.6 percent daily active Android users in the US, Pok mon GO has already reached 3 percent.
And the thing about Pok mon GO is that users aren t just playing the mobile game for fun, people are glued to the application. Interestingly, the usage time of Pok mon GO is much higher than most popular social media apps in the US. It lets a user send direct messages to another user. Basically it s a legitimate catalyst application to make communication easier for the fans.
And then there always are people who know exactly how to cash in on popular trends. The Craiglist shows an advertisement that is offering to drive people around the city to help them catch em all, without worrying about a traffic mishap. The service is charged $30 (Rs 2,000 approximately) per person, and the ride includes snacks and beverages, and it offers two hours of driving around to all Pok stops and Gym Trainers.
What needs to be kept in mind is that Pok mon GO app has managed to create all this buzz even when it hasn’t rolled out worldwide yet. We can only imagine the state of social media when the app is rolled out across the globe and across all platforms. The Pok mon GO app was first launched in US, Australia and New Zealand, and people across the world went insane downloaded and trying out the app. Consequently, the overwhelming response led to a failure in the app s servers and the international rollout of Pok mon GO had to be temporarily halted.
