Mehdi said that he would join ISIS if he didn’t have family in Bangalore to look after. “If I had a chance to leave everything and join them, I might have,” he said. Also Read - Twitter Voice Tweets rolling out for iOS: What are they, how to send
He further said that he doesn’t agree with all methods of ISIS, but most of them he supports. He also admits that he is in touch with a handful of British jihadis, but denies any part in their radicalization. He says that he was not a part of any ISIS recruitment and defends himself by saying, “Just because somebody follows me, doesn’t mean I am their reason for their moving to ISIS. There are real reasons why people get radicalized.”
Mehdi had almost 17,700 followers on his @ShamiWitness account that had disseminating thousands of tweets on ISIS propaganda. Central Intelligence travelled to Bangalore to hunt him down, but the city police believes that he must have left Bangalore already.
