Sony s forthcoming Xperia i1 aka Honami with its rumored 20-megapixel camera has been fuelling the rumor mills for the past few weeks. In addition to the photo and spec leaks, last night we heard that the phone s camera will feature a Bionz image processor, and now XperiaBlog has spotted the first live photo of the camera s modified UI. The photo confirms that the phone s camera will be able to shoot pictures at 20-megapixel (5248×3936 resolution) and 4:3 ratio. There s also a new Manual Mode button in addition to the camera features we normally see on the current Xperia smartphones. It s difficult to comment on the authenticity of the above photo, though XperiaBlog does mention that it is indeed a real photo.
To remind you on what we know of the device so far, the Xperia i1 is said to feature a 5-inch full HD display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.2GHz, 2GB of RAM, 3,000mAh battery with a STAMINA mode and 16GB of expandable memory.
The smartphone is expected to be dust and water-proof like the Xperia Z and in terms of software, will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under Sony s Xperia UI.
