ZTE’s sub-brand nubia is working on an all-screen smartphone. While the name of the smartphone is not yet known, the smartphone has been spotted in a press render revealing a similar design to the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. The smartphone will be nubia’s first phone to sport an 18:9 aspect ratio display.

First spotted by Gizmochina, the smartphone comes with a bezel-less design on three of its four sides. However, unlike the Mi MIX 2, the front camera of the new nubia phone does not sit on the chin and instead sits on what looks like a small notch at the top, similar to what we’ve seen on the Essential Phone. At the back, there is a dual-camera setup placed at the top left corner with the LED flash right next to it. The smartphone also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor in the middle.

The renders were spotted at the Chinese Patent Office tipping that the smartphone might launch in China very soon. The smartphone will reportedly be nubia’s next flagship device that will launch early next year.

Meanwhile, in India, nubia last launched nubia Z17 mini Limited Edition. The smartphone is priced at Rs 21,499, and comes with 128GB storage and 6GB of RAM. It sports a 5.2-inch full HD display. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset. The smartphone comes with a 16-megapixel front camera with 90 beauty filters. The smartphone also comes with a 2,950mAh battery.
