Unveiled at CES this year, the Razer Nabu smartband was in our list of top-10 gadgets worth saving up for this year. After what seems like a long wait, the company has now announced that it is ready to start shipping the smartband. The wearable device will go on sale next week onDecember 2, and will be available on the RazerStore with a price tag of $99.99. The company has also announced that an early batch of 5,000 units will be available for pre-order via the recently launched Insider community platform. Nabu will be available in small, medium and medium-large sizes and will be available in four colors green, white, orange and black. Nabu features two screens on opposite sites in order to protect the privacy of the wearer, including a 32-pixel square display that will show notification icons, and a bigger 128x32mm screen that can list text messages, emails and other data. The smart band can keep track of fitness activities, burnt calories, sleep patterns, location and altitude, comes with gestures support, and has the mandatory iOS- and Android-compatible smartphone apps that let users manage the collected data. The device will offer 7 to 10 days of battery life on a single charge.
Nabu is compatible with iPhone 5 and above and will work with the iOS Health app right out-of-the-box. Similarly, it will pair with Android 4.3 and higher devices via Bluetooth. Whether it will be made available in India or not, is not yet known.
