The Ambani brothers are likely to sign yet another deal for sharing infrastructure for their telecom arm in India. ET is reporting that Anil Ambani s Reliance Communications and Mukesh Ambani s Reliance Jio Infocomm are working on an intra-city fibre-optic sharing deal which will be inked on papers within a few months time. Reliance Communications has a widespread network across the nation but suffers a huge debt, Reliance Jio on the other hand is working on 4G network rollout in India. With this deal into place, RCom will hail from debts and Reliance Jio will have a faster network service.
If happens, this will be the third deal between the two, as a couple of months back both the companies had signed an optical fiber sharing deal for Rs 1,200 crore and after that they inked a Rs 12,000 crore deal to share telecom tower network.
