Realme has discontinued the base 3GB RAM variant of the Realme 1 in India. The company launched successor Realme 2 on Tuesday at starting Rs 8,990, which is priced same as the Realme 1 3GB RAM variant. The Realme 1 was launched back in May, and it was exclusively made available through Amazon India. After the launch of Realme 2, the company quietly removed the Realme 1 3GB RAM/ 32GB inbuilt storage model from the website, and later confirmed to Gadgets360 that the model has been discontinued. However, the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variants of Realme 1 are still up for sale on Amazon India. The online-only Realme sub-brand from Oppo debuted with the Realme 1. The sub-brand is now being separated from Oppo to be an independent brand. It announced about separation from parent phone maker Oppo last month, and since then the company launched the after the successor Realme 2. The new smartphone retains the design elements as its predecessor, while also bringing some improvements.

Realme 2 now comes with a notched display featuring an aspect ratio of 19:9. The new smartphone also comes with a better chipset, dual rear cameras, and a bigger battery to keep things ticking longer.
Realme 2 price in India and availability
The Realme 2 is being offered in two variants 3GB RAM with 32GB storage for Rs 8,990, and 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 10,990. The smartphone will be exclusively available on Amazon India starting September 4 at 12:00PM. HDFC bank credit and debit card users can avail flat Rs 750 cashback on buying the Realme 2. Lastly, Reliance Jio users can also avail benefits worth Rs 4,200.
