Launched only a week ago the Realme 2 is going on sale in India today. The smartphone is the successor to the Realme 1 and the second smartphone to have been launched by Realme, which is Oppo’s sub-brand. The Realme 2 like its predecessor competes in the budget segment and looks to target the younger audience with its stylish design and trendy features. It will be going on sale today via Flipkart at 12:00PM.
The Realme 2 comes in two RAM and storage variants. The base variant which comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage is priced at Rs 8,990, while the higher-end variant that features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is priced at Rs 10,990. The stylish design of the smartphone is also available in two color variants called, Diamond Red and Diamond Black.
Additionally, there are some exciting offers available on the smartphone. One of them comes from HDFC, which is offering a straight discount of Rs 750 on purchase of the smartphone via HDFC debit or credit card. Jio is also offering a cashback of Rs 4,200 and 120GB of Data. Flipkart is further contributing by giving complete mobile protection for Rs 199 and minimum exchange discount of Rs 500.
Realme 2 features and specifications
The Realme 2 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ notch display that features a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9, thanks to the notch at the top. Under the hood, it comes powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, which features eight cores and maximum clock speeds of 1.8GHz. Along with the internal storage, the smartphone also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot that further expands the storage up to 256GB.

In the photography department, Realme 2 carries a dual-camera setup at the back, which comprises of a 13-megapixel primary sensor, and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth measurement. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel camera for taking selfies. The smartphone is powered by 4,230mAh battery and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box.
