Here’s some good news for Realme 2 Pro users. The company has all but confirmed that it will be rolling out an Android Pie update for the smartphone.
Replying to a tweet by a user, Realme’s support account confirmed that an Android Pie update will be rolled out for the Realme 2 Pro. There’s no word on a timeline for the roll out, except that it will be sometime in 2019. While 2019 is a vague timeline, it is still a confirmation of sorts that a software update will be rolled out for the Realme 2 Pro.
Recently, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth had revealed that an OTA update will be rolled out for the Realme 2 Pro that will introduce slow-motion video recording functionality. The update is scheduled for the first quarter of 2019. Sheth further mentioned that they are considering rolling out this feature on other Realme smartphones as well.
In a subsequent tweet, Sheth said that the company will unlock the bootloader and release the source code for Realme 1 early next year. It’s worth mentioning that bootloader unlock for Realme 2 Pro has already been confirmed.
