Realme is gearing up to launch another contender in the mid-range category today which the company states will be called the Realme 2 Pro. The new smartphone will be unveiled today at 12:30PM in India. Those who are interested in catching the launch event live can do so by tuning into the company’s official YouTube channel. Leading up to the launch, we’ve already come across plenty of rumors around the device that have given us an idea of what to expect from it. Realme itself has also confirmed that the smartphone will be exclusively available via Flipkart. However, the pricing and a specific date of availability haven’t been mentioned yet. We expect the smartphone to fall under the Rs 20,000 price bracket.

Realme 2 Pro specifications and features

Realme has already confirmed Realme 2 Pro to feature a waterdrop style notch this time around, which should enable the device to offer a screen-to-body ratio upwards of 90 percent. While the screen size hasn’t been confirmed, rumors have pointed the device to sport a 6.3-inch display, which likely will be running a full HD+ resolution. Being a mid-range device, Realme has powered the smartphone with a Snapdragon 660 SoC, which will be running alongside 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Under the hood, the device is likely to feature Android 8.1 Oreo layered with ColorOS on top. For taking pictures, dual rear cameras are expected. However, the details still haven’t surfaced on both the back and the front camera. That said, we don’t have to wait that long to find out.
