Smartphone maker Realme, the online-only brand owned by Oppo, has launched its latest phone in India, the Realme 2 Pro. Teased last month at the launch of the Realme 2, the new device bumps up the specifications while retaining much of the style and functionality of the lower version. The Realme 2 Pro is priced at Rs 13,990 for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant, Rs 15,990 for the 6GB RAM / 64GB storage option and Rs 17,990 for the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage option, and will be available through flash sales on Flipkart starting 11 October. Notably, the Realme 2 Pro is the most affordable device in India with 8GB of RAM, and brings this large amount of RAM to the mid-range segment for the first time. In terms of design, the phone largely resembles the Oppo F9 Pro, particularly when it comes to dimensions, build quality and screen. The Realme 2 Pro has a ‘waterdrop’ notch and an edge-to-edge screen. The USP of the online-only device is its superior specifications, which will put the device head-to-head with other online-focused offerings such as the Xiaomi Mi A2, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1.
