Realme 2 Pro will be getting an OTA update for the front camera and battery optimization this week. The company will also ship ColorOS 5.2 update for the Realme 1 soon after the Realme 2 Pro update.
Realme India CEO, Madhav Seth, on Twitter posted about the update timeline for the Realme 2 Pro and Realme 1. He further replied to a user query of two-step notification clearing process on ColorOS said that it will also be fixed ‘very soon’.
Oppo’s sub-brand, Realme, on becoming a separate brand has had a fair amount of success in last five months of its existence. During Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and Amazon’s Great Indian Festival sales, Realme created a milestone by selling 1 million devices in four days. The Realme 2 has been company’s best smartphone till date. It sold 1 million devices in just 40 days of the launch. The company recently expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of two new models – Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1.

Realme is now all set to bring one more smartphone in December, which will be the first device to be based on MediaTek’s Helio P70 chipset. Speaking to BGR India at IMC 2018, Seth revealed that the smartphone will not be a successor to existing Realme 2 or 2 Pro. It’ll be a different device all together, which the company plans to launch in the first half of December.

The octa-core Helio P70 is based on 12nm FinFET process, and comes with a multi-core APU (AI processing unit) clocked at 525MHz to enable efficient AI processing. To remind you, Realme and Mediatek have had association from company’s first smartphone – Realme 1 – launched in May. The handset was based on Mediatek’s Helio P60.
