Oppo’s sub-brand Realme, which is being separated from Oppo to be an independent brand, is all set to launch its second smartphone in India, the Realme 2. The company has been teasing a lot about the Realme 2 on Twitter. Today, the latest tweet from company confirms the dual-rear camera again. The company also tweeted about the notch display on Sunday. Previously, there was a teaser (see image above) was briefly listed on Realme‘s own website. It showcased the front and back upper half of the anticipated Realme 2 in blue color with the title ‘A Notch Above’. The teaser was later taken down. But what it revealed was that the company is sticking with diamond cut back design from Realme 1 , but now there will be a rear fingerprint sensor as well. The Realme brand announced its separation from parent phone maker Oppo last month, so it is possible that company might announce the Realme 2 under an independent brand banner.
To recall, the first smartphone from the sub-brand, the Realme 1, was launched exclusively in India in May. It was priced at Rs 8,990 for the 3GB RAM+32GB storage variant, and Rs 10,990 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage model. The company also launched a 6GB RAM+128GB storage variant for Rs 13,990.
In July, the company announced sales figures of Realme 1 saying that it received an overwhelming response online with over 400,000 units sold in just 40 days.
Oppo Realme 1 specifications and features
To recap, the Realme 1 features a 6-inch display with Full HD+ resolution of 2160×1080 pixels, and 18:9 aspect ratio. It features thin-bezel design similar to Oppo F7, and is powered by MediaTek Helio P60 SoC. The smartphone also comes with 3GB or 6GB of RAM, and 32GB or 128GB internal storage.

The Realme 1 comes with 13-megapixel main camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash. There is an 8-megapixel selfie shooter at the front with bokeh mode. The camera UI comes with AI features, which the company claims can detect 296 facial points.
