Back in November, Realme unveiled a pair of earphones alongside its newest Realme U1 smartphone. Called Realme Buds, these earphones were expected to go on sale alongwith the smartphone. But that hasn’t been the case. Now, CEO Madhav Sheth has revealed when buyers will be able to get their hands on them.
Answering a user’s query on his #AskMadhav video, Sheth revealed that the Realme Buds will be made available sometime next month – January 2019. Besides the Buds, the Realme phone cases too will be going on sale next month, and they will all be available via Flipkart, Amazon India, and realme.com.
The Realme Buds, priced at Rs 499, comes in black color. It boasts 11 mm audio drivers, and promises up to 160 percent louder bass. It is also said to be among the first wired earphones in India to use magnetic locking, which makes it easy to carry it around. Realme also says that the ear tips are bent to 45 degrees, which not only make them fit snugly, but also make them comfortable for long hours of usage.
Another talking point of the Realme Buds is the 1.25 meters cable that is protected by break-resistant kevlar fiber. The braided jacket feels premium, and at the same time also prevents the cord from tangling.
As mentioned, along with the Realme Buds, the Realme U1 Iconic Case too will be made available next month. Priced at Rs 499, the case is specially built for the Realme U1 smartphone. Buyers will be able to choose between black and yellow color options.
The case is made of flexible TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane), whereas the back is made out of hard polycarbonate. In addition to cutouts for the cameras, fingerprint sensor and ports, the backs also features a bold Realme logo and the tagline “Proud To Be Young”.
