Realme, the former Oppo sub-brand, on Friday announced ‘Realme Design Contest’ for youngsters to explore their creativity in making wallpapers and phone cases for Realme smartphones. The company has joined hands with various universities to launch the design contest. Realme will customize the best designs entries to produce phone cases and wallpapers, which will be promoted globally.
The ‘Realme Design Contest’ will be conducted in three stages. The contest begins on Friday, and the entries will be accepted by December 21. Realme‘s jury members will then review all the works submitted by the students and will select the winner’s considering different levels of creativity, connectivity, thought process and attractiveness of the designs, said company in a press statement.
“We welcome the students to participate in the Realme Design contest. We believe, this contest will help us to explore the imaginative and creative power of young minds. We would like to extend an offer to the top winners to work with us and explore how Realme develop our offerings,” said Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer, Realme India.
There will be a voting process in choosing five ‘Experts’ and hundred ‘Creators’. The Experts will receive Realme U1 devices and the Creators will get Realme Backpacks. Realme will announce final winners on just before Christmas on December 24.

The winner of the contest will win the title of ‘Master of Design”, one Realme U1 smartphone, and Rs 2 lakh (Rs 200,000). There will be four ‘Innovators” who will Rs 50,000 each along with one Realme U1 smartphone. Lastly, the select two top winners from Master and Innovators category will be given a chance to get an internship at Realme Global.
