Realme starts selling smartphones offline with Reliance Digital and My Jio stores across India

More than 600 stores of Reliance Digital and My Jio will be selling Realme smartphones starting today.

Realme yesterday launched its official online store, where consumers can purchase all Realme smartphones just like they did on Amazon and Flipkart. Now the company has taken its first step towards offline retail market. Realme has partnered with Reliance Digital and My Jio for offline sales. In the first phase of the partnership, Realme has started selling Realme 2, Realme 2 Pro, and Realme C1 in more than 130 cities across 600 Reliance Digital and My Jio stores. While the market responded well, we are expanding our sales channels to reach out to the growing demands which is a testimony to our approach Realme for every Indian .

Recently, Realme claimed that it sold 2 million units during the Big Billion Days and Festive Dhamaka Sale on Flipkart. The Realme 2 has been company s best smartphone till date. It sold 1 million devices in just 40 days of the launch. The company recently expanded its smartphone portfolio with the launch of two new models Realme 2 Pro and Realme C1.

Realme is all set to bring one more smartphone in December, which will be the first device to be based on MediaTek s Helio P70 chipset. Madhav Seth told BGR India that the smartphone will not be a successor to existing Realme 2 or 2 Pro. It ll be a different device all together, which Realme plans to launch by first half of December 2018.

The company is on its way to be an independent brand from Oppo, although at present it is sharing Oppo’s resources for research and development (R&D). Seth says we will have a lot of things completely separate from Oppo.
