Reliance Digital has expanded its budget smartphone portfolio with another launch. What is believed to be the affordable variant of the recently launched LYF F1 Plus, the company has launched the LYF F1s smartphone. Priced at Rs 9,599, the smartphone comes bundled with Reliance Jio s Happy New Year offer that provides unlimited voice calls and data until March 31, 2017. Additionally, for the one s who make payment for the phone through Jio Money, they will be eligible for a Rs 500 cashback on the purchase of LYF F1s. The LYF F1s features a 5.2-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080 pixels) with 423ppi and a 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone s display is powered by Incell technology, which the company claims ensures low battery consumption. Additionally, the display is protected by Corning Concore Glass, which makes it scratch resistant. The smartphone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset, with an eight-core CPU (1.8GHz + 1.4GHz). The processor is accompanied by Adreno 510 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The LYF F1s comes with 32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
On the photography front, the smartphone features a 16-megapixel rear camera with Auto Focus, 8x digital zoom, Auto Frame Rate, Red Eye Reduction, Video HDR supported in code Chroma Flash, OptiZoom, UbiFocus (MultiFocus). On the other hand, on the front, the smartphone features a 5-megapixel camera, with fixed focus, 8x digital zoom and an LED Flash. Both front and back camera also support 4K UHD video recording. The Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, priced at Rs 8,999, features a 5-inch HD display, and Qualcomm s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It is equipped with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, which expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It is backed by a 4,100mAh battery. In the photography department, the smartphone sports a 13-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras. The connectivity options available are dual-SIM support (hybrid setup), 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.
Also, competes with the LYF F1s is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which features a full-metal unibody design, as well as a fingerprint scanner. The smartphone sports a 5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display with pixel density of 441ppi with 450-nit brightness, and 178-degree viewing angles. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based Vibe UI and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for additional storage.
For photography, the K6 Power is equipped with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor camera with LED flash, Pro-mode, PDAF support, slow motion and time lapse. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 camera and can shoot up to 1080p videos. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
