Reliance Jio has announced a surprise cashback offer of up to Rs 3,300 on recharge of Rs 399. The announcement comes just a day after Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani detailed company’s future plan at the annual gathering to celebrate 40 years of it being a listed entity. Reliance Jio’s cashback offer is not different from the one it announced during Diwali. The surprise element being, Jio has partnered merchants to offer extra cashback vouchers. Reliance Jio had recently extended its triple cashback offer until December 25, and the new cashback offer will be valid until January 15. In order to avail the cashback offer, Jio Prime subscribers need to recharge with Rs 399 or above and will get 100 percent cashback vouchers Rs 400. The cashback will be credited in the form of Rs 50 vouchers over a period of eight months. Jio subscribers can use these vouchers to avail discount on their subsequent recharge plans.
Jio is also offering cashback up to Rs 300 in partnership with leading digital wallets. Both existing and new Jio users will get cashback of Rs 100 when they recharge their mobile number using Amazon Pay. On Paytm, new Jio users get Rs 50 as cashback while existing users get Rs 30. Mobikwik is offering cashback of Rs 300 to both new and existing Jio users.
Additionally, PhonePe is offering cashback of Rs 75 and Rs 30 to new and existing users respectively, whereas recharges made using Bhim UPI, new and existing users can avail cashback of Rs 100 and Rs 30, respectively. Similarly, new and existing Jio users making recharge with Freecharge will get cashback of Rs 50 and Rs 30 respectively.
Jio users also get additional cashback of up to Rs 2,600 in the form of online shopping vouchers. The telecom operator is offering cashback up to Rs 2,000 on minimum purchase of Rs 10,000 on electronics. Yatra users can avail Rs 1,000 off on round trip and Rs 500 off on one-way domestic flights. Grofers is offering flat Rs 300 cashback on order of Rs 1,500 while Big Basket users can avail 20 percent off on a minimum purchase of Rs 600. There is also 20 percent off on Zoomcar up to Rs 1,000 and 30 percent discount on OYO Hotel booking and 50 percent OYO Money cashback up to Rs 1,500.
On recharge of Rs 399, Jio users get 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls and SMS for a period of 70 days. The announcement comes amidst company introducing tariff hike across its data plans. The company is believed to have over 160 million subscribers on its 4G-only network.
