Last month, Reliance Jio celebrated its 2-year anniversary, while also hitting the milestone of 250 million users. To celebrate the occasion, the telecom operator rolled out a complementary data pack called Jio Celebration Pack that offered 2GB daily high-speed 4G data for four days in September. Reliance Jio had also promised that it will credit another 8GB data October. Now, according to TelecomTalk, Jio has started crediting the free data into customers’ accounts. We checked on one of our Jio number, and couldn t see the extra data being credited. To check whether or not the free data has been credited, you can head over to My Jio app on your smartphone. Next, tap on the hamburger menu on the top left, and tap on My Plans section. If the complementary data pack is activated, you will see Jio Celebrations Pack with 2GB data daily along with the expiry of the plan. As noted by the publication, different users may receive the Celebrations pack at different times. Jio had announced a total of 16GB data, meaning 8GB per month. And while the time of addition could be different, the benefits will remain the same at 8GB.
Recently, Jio also launched the Diwali Celebration offer where the telecom operator is offering 100 percent discount on prepaid recharge plans, where the discount will be given in the form of Reliance Digital coupons. It is available on prepaid plans priced above Rs 149. The company also introduced a special recharge plan priced at Rs 1,699.
The plan offers 365 days validity, along with unlimited local and national calling without any FUP, unlimited roaming and 100 free SMS daily. The plan also offers 1.5GB high-speed daily data, after which the speed will be throttled to 64Kbps.
