Earlier this month, Reliance Jio had introduced an add-on data pack called the ‘Reliance Jio Digital Pack’ under which the company was offering additional 2GB of 4G data for free to select customers till August 6. Now, the company has reportedly extended the deadline to August 14.
According to a report on MySmartPrice, Reliance Jio Digital Pack add-on validity has been extended for some users. Under this offer, some users are getting 2GB of additional 4G data per day with no extra cost on an already recharged data plan. The offer comes as a top-up plan and is available via MyJio app.
Meanwhile, Reliance Jio GigaFiber Broadband registrations will start from August 15. The Jio GigaFiber was announced at Reliance Industries 41st annual general meeting (AGM) held in July. The highly anticipated service marks Reliance Jio s entrance in the Indian broadband market.
The company has been testing the service for the last 2 years and has noted it to provide 700Mbps speeds on an average. According to Jio, it s enough to allow users to stream 4K content or run supported VR applications.
Based on rumors, Jio won’t be taking any installation charges for the Jio GigaFiber, but consumers will be required to deposit Rs 4,500 as security on the router. This is said to be a refundable amount. Not just that, the service is also set to be free for the first three months. Jio has already said that the installation process will not take more than an hour.
