Reliance Jio has been going aggressive with its prepaid data plans since the beginning, and the recent Jio Double Dhamaka offers further benefits to the users. Bharti Airtel, on the other hand, has been going aggressive with its offering to rival Jio. The latest Rs 99 prepaid plan from Airtel doubles the data benefits.
Bharti Airtel’s revised Rs 99 prepaid plan now offers 2GB 3G / 4G data, compared to 1GB data that it offered earlier. The plan comes with a validity of 28 days, and also offers 100 free SMS daily, which means users get a total of up to 2,800 SMS throughout the validity period. The plan also offer unlimited voice calls, without any FUP.

In comparison, Reliance Jio has a prepaid plan priced at Rs 98 and validity of 28 days. The operator offers just 300 SMS valid throughout the validity. Users also get unlimited voice calls and 2GB total data. And just like other Jio plans, this one too offers complimentary access to Jio suite of apps, which includes Jio TV, Jio Movies and Jio Music.
Airtel also recently introduced Rs 558 plan that offers 3GB daily data, with a validity of 82 days. This means, throughout the validity, users get a total of 246GB data, which brings down the per GB cost to as low as Rs 2.26.
