BSNL has been fairly successful with its mobile and broadband offerings for its customers. The state-run telco has also been giving Jio a tough fight with lucrative plans. Earlier, the Rs 1,199 plan offered one mobile connection with every broadband connection. Now, the telco has rebranded the plan with improved benefits. Now, called BSNL Family Plan, and it is still priced at Rs 1,199, and available for BSNL users across the country. After the FUP limit of 30GB is hit, users can continue with unlimited downloading, but at reduced speeds of 2Mbps. To make things more interesting, users can combine three BSNL prepaid connections to get 1GB daily data during the validity period. This means, if a BSNL broadband users have up to three BSNL SIM cards, they can get 1GB daily data for free. Besides 1GB daily 3G data, users will also get unlimited voice calling, and roaming calls. And once the FUP limit of 1GB per day is hit, users can still continue using unlimited data with reduced speeds of up to 40Kbps. That s not all, users also get free caller ring back tones on all three SIM cards as well.
Last week, on the occasion of World Telecom Day, BSNL also launched the ‘Data Tsunami pack’ priced at Rs 98. It offers 1.5GB 3G daily data with validity of 26 days. This means, users can download up to a total of 39GB data during the validity period.
