Incumbent telecom operators such as Vodafone, Airtel and Idea Cellular are competing with Reliance Jio with attractive prepaid data plans. And after state-run BSNL joining the fight, it is now MTNL’s turn. The state-run operator has unveiled a new Rs 171 plan with attractive benefits for its prepaid Trump users.
MTNL has introduced a new Rs 171 STV with unlimited voice calls and 100 free SMS daily. Sadly, as MTNL only offers its services in Mumbai and Delhi, the voice benefits are restricted to these two telecom circles only. The STV (special tariff voucher) also offers 1.5GB 3G data daily.
Once the daily data limit is exhausted, users will be charged 3 paise per 10Kb as data download charges, TelecomTalk reports. The plan also offers 28 days validity. While MTNL Mumbai users can enjoy the service benefits when roaming in Delhi, and vice-versa, outsite these circles, standard roaming charges will be applied.
