Ever since Reliance Jio announced its 4G tariff plans and the launch of its commercial services, incumbent telecom operators have slashed the cost of their data tariff plans. Recently, Airtel introduced its 30GB unlimited 4G plan for Rs 1,495 and validity of 90 days. Now, Vodafone has joined the race by introducing a new 4G plan for new and existing, prepaid as well as postpaid subscribers. Under the Vodafone SuperNet data plan, users get 10GB of 4G data for the price of 1GB. The offer is valid till December 31 and available in all telecom circles where Vodafone offers its 3G/4G connection. With this offer, we are encouraging new 4G handset users to enjoy the Vodafone SuperNet experience to the fullest and explore the wonders of the internet in a truly worry-free manner, said Sandeep Kataria, Director – Commercial, Vodafone India. He further added by saying, The additional data provided on these packs will make the internet more affordable for customers who use mobile internet in a limited way and encourage first time users to come online. It will also enable existing users of data enjoy their mobile internet experience further by staying online longer and accessing more of their favorite content.
; How to get 10GB Vodafone data on your 4G smartphone
Like always, there is a fine print here too. Users in Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai can avail 9GB 4G data to use only on 4G network. In other circles, such as Uttar Pradesh (east and west), Karnataka, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Maharashtra and Goa (excluding Mumbai), Assam, North East states and Rajasthan, users get 9GB of 3G data on data pack of above 1GB. Also, the additional data is only applicable in night from 12AM to 6AM.
To avail the offer, you must buy a data pack that offers at least 1GB of data (pack of Rs 250 and above), and validity of 28 days. For this, you can head over to vodafone.in/smartoffers, enter your 10 digit Vodafone number and click on generate OTP. Once you get the OTP, enter it and click on Go. If you re eligible for the offer, it will show you how to avail the data plan. In case your Vodafone number isn t eligible to get the additional data, it will let you know about the same. The 4G pack with additional data is only applicable on new 4G smartphone. However, according to Vodafone, a new 4G smartphone is the one that was not used on Vodafone network for the past six months. For instance, let s say you have two 4G smartphones LG G5 and HTC 10, and you have the Vodafone SIM card inserted in LG G5, then you can t avail the offer on it. Also, if you have inserted the SIM card in HTC 10 even for one day, in the past six months (180 days), the offer won t be applicable either. However, if you have a secondary SIM card (Airtel, Idea, Reliance Jio, Aircel) inserted in the HTC 10, but not Vodafone SIM card, you can avail the offer by inserting Vodafone SIM on the HTC 10.
That s not all; Vodafone is also offering free subscription to TV, Movies and Music on Vodafone Play and it is valid till December 31, 2016. Customers get access to over 100 Live TV channels, more than 18000 movies and TV show titles and music of all genres, in partnership with Hungama Play and HOOQ.
