Reliance Jio’s arrival has completely transformed the landscape of the Indian telecom sector. Jio’s hugely-competitive tariffs have forced rival telecom operators to completely rework their offerings, lest they lose customers. With telcos continuing to make their tariff plans even more lucrative, Vodafone India has added three new plans to its prepaid portfolio, with each offering 1.5GB of data per day. Priced at Rs 209, Rs 479 and Rs 529, these plans have a validity of 28 days, 84 days and 90 days, respectively.
That’s not all. Along with the above-mentioned data benefits, Vodafone India’s new plans include unlimited voice calls, capped at 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week. They also include 100 text messages per day.
It’s worth mentioning that for the three new plans, Vodafone India will allow voice calls to just 100 unique numbers throughout the plans’ validity period. Lastly, the plans come bundled with free ‘Vodafone Play’ subscription, which allows users to watch more than 300 Live TV channels and other content from different providers.

The new prepaid plans are only available in select circles as of now, but a wider rollout is expected soon, TelecomTalk reports. In July, Vodafone India launched an entry-level plan of Rs 47 for prepaid customers. The new plan comes with a validity of 28 days and offers a total of 7500 seconds (125 minutes) of talk time during the entire validity period, along with 50 free text messages and 500MB of data.
