Vodafone has introduced two new voice-only prepaid tariff plans with 28 days validity in the country. Both the new Plans are aimed at basic users who consume more of daily messages and calls over internet data.
The two new Vodafone prepaid plans are priced at Rs 99 and Rs 109. While the Rs 99 recharge is a voice-only prepaid plan, whereas the Rs 109 plan will also offer a limited amount of data benefit over-and-above unlimited calls and messages, reports TelecomTalk.
The new Vodafone Rs 99 recharge plan provides a user with unlimited local, STD and roaming calls for 28 days. The Rs 109 prepaid recharge plan offers 1GB of total 4G/3G data on top of unlimited local, STD and roaming calls for 28 days.
The Rs 99 plan from Vodafone directly competes with Reliance Jio’s 99 recharge plan. It provides users unlimited calling, 2GB of data and SMS benefits for 28 days.
Apart from Vodafone and Reliance Jio, the state-run BSNL also offers a similar Rs 99 prepaid plan with unlimited voice calling to any network in the country, except Mumbai and Delhi circles. Similarly, there is a segmented Rs 99 plan from Airtel, which has similar voice benefits for its users. Since Idea is now part of Vodafone after the merger, TelecomTalk report notes that the company will also launch similar plans on Idea Cellular in next few days.
Recently, Vodafone introduced two new prepaid plans for consumers looking at slightly higher 4G data FUP per day. The first plan is priced at Rs 511 and offers 2GB daily data, whereas the other plan priced at Rs 569 offers 3GB daily data with a validity of 84 days.
