Reliance Jio has introduced two new prepaid recharge plans. The new plans are priced at Rs 49 and Rs 153, and are exclusive to JioPhone users. Under the Rs 49 plan, you get 1GB of high-speed 4G data for a period of 28 days. After you exhaust the daily data limit, the speed is reduced to 64Kbps. The plan also offers unlimited local, STD, and roaming voice calls. With this plan, JioPhone users get a complimentary subscription to Jio suite of apps including Jio TV, Jio Music, and Jio Money, NDTV reports. You also get 50 free SMS with the Rs 49 recharge plan. Rs 153 Jio prepaid plan for JioPhone users
With the Rs 153 plan, you get a higher data limit of 1.5GB 4G data per day for a period of 28 days, which basically translates to a total of 42GB data. Once you exhaust the daily data limit, the speed is reduced to 64Kbps. The plan also offers the standard benefits of unlimited local, STD, and roaming voice calls, along with a complimentary subscription to Jio suite of apps. JioPhone users get 100 SMSes per day benefit as part of the plan.
If you are a JioPhone user, the Rs 153 prepaid recharge plan is more beneficial as it offers you a higher per day data quota along with a higher daily SMS quota.
In terms of specifications, JioPhone features a 2.4-inch QVGA screen, a 2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, WiFi connectivity, support for storage expansion up to 128GB, a 2,000mAh battery, wireless FM radio, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. The ‘smart feature phone’ runs KaiOS and is effectively priced at Rs 0, but users are required to pay a refundable amount of Rs 1,500.
