Reliance Jio is undoubtedly one of the biggest projects of Reliance Industries, which aims to bring a new digital revolution in India. So far, the company has rolled out its ‘Preview Offer’ for LYF branded smartphones sold by its retail arm, Reliance Digital. Under this offer, users could avail unlimited internet, HD voice and video calling and access to Reliance Jio’s app ecosystem for content based services such as live TV, on-demand movies, online radio and music streaming, cloud storage service and more for a period of 90 days. The Preview Offer has also been expanded to all major 4G smartphones, where users can generate a code using MyJio app, submit KYC documents at the Reliance Digital or Digital Xpress Mini stores and avail the free SIM card. Now, at today’s AGM, the company chairman could offer more insights and results of its trial run. He may also announce full commercial rollout plans and most importantly, the tariff plans for voice, data and content services. In terms of tariffs, Jio will not charge anything for voice calls and text messages. Data tariffs will be 5 paise per MB or Rs 50 per GB.

The era for paying for voice calls is ending. No Jio customer will pay for voice calls across India on any network.
