Reliance Jio after months of offering free services to its users began paid services from April 16. Jio had announced that it would begin paid services in April but it still had some tricks up its sleeve. The telco announced a ‘Summer Surprise’ offer bundled with exciting plans which unfortunately had to be scrapped after TRAI s directive. Jio then introduced a ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan’ offer which included two plans, priced at Rs 303 and Rs 509. Reliance Jio has now announced new plans for its paid services for both prepaid and postpaid users. There are ten prepaid plans and three postpaid plans Jio users can choose from. Prepaid plans begin at Rs 19 and go up to Rs 9,999, while the postpaid plans are for Rs 309, Rs 509 and Rs 999. All the prepaid and postpaid plans come bundled with unlimited local and outgoing calls, national roaming, unlimited SMS (100 per day), and free subscription to Jio apps like JioTV, JioMovies, JioCloud and more.
To start with, the Rs 19 plan with 1-day validity offers 200MB of data for Prime users and 100MB for non-Prime users. The Rs 49 plan comes with 3 days validity, 600MB data for Prime users, and 300MB for non-Prime users. The Rs 99 plan with 7 days validity offers 7GB data to Prime users and 600MB only for non-Prime users. This plan has a daily cap of 1GB, post which speed will go down to 128 Kbps. Under Rs 149 plan, Prime members get 2GB data and non-Prime members get 1GB data with 300 SMS.
Coming to the Rs 309 plan, users on the first recharge get 84GB data with daily cap of 1GB and validity of 84 days. Post the first recharge, the data comes down to 28GB with daily cap on usage of 1GB per day and validity of 28 days. Similarly for the Rs 509 plan, users get 168GB data on first recharge with 2GB per day usage and validity of 84 days. Now we come to the new plans offering data with no daily cap on usage. On the first recharge of Rs 999, users get 120GB data for 120 days and on subsequent recharge, 60GB for 60 days. The Rs 1,999 plan offers 185GB data for 150 days and after the first recharge, data goes down to 125GB for 90 days. The Rs 4,999 plan offers 410GB of data on the first recharge for 240 days and from the second recharge, 350GB for 180 days. Lastly, the Rs 9,999 plan gives users 810GB of data for a total of 420 days and after which, users get 750GB for 360 days. Speaking about the postpaid plans, the first one for Rs 309 offers 90GB data with 1GB per day for the first three months. After the first cycle, users get 30GB data with a validity of one month. Under the Rs 509 plan, users get 180GB data with a daily cap of 2GB per day and validity of three months. Post the first cycle, the data comes down to 60GB with 2GB per day and validity of one month. Lastly, under the Rs 999 plan, users get 180GB of data without a daily cap and validity of three months.
