Reliance Jio Prime plans and benefits
Reliance Jio Prime plans start at Rs 19 with one-day validity, Rs 149 with 28 days validity and go all the way up to Rs 9,999 with a validity of 360 days. Now, while the lower denomination plans are available, to continue Prime membership till March 31, 2018, you ll need to recharge with at least Rs 149 in every 28 days. Also the Night Unlimited between 2AM and 5AM is not applicable for Jio Prime membership plans.
The Rs 99 plan offers a validity of one-day with 200MB of data, the Rs 49 plan offers three-day validity with 600MB of data, whereas the Rs 96 plan offers seven-day validity and 7GB of data. However, a daily cap of 1GB high-speed 4G data is applicable on the Rs 96 plan, and once exhausted, the speed will cut down to 128Kbps till midnight.
Next is the Rs 149 plan with 28 days validity and 1GB of data. As mentioned earlier, this is also the minimum recharge you need to do to continue with Jio Prime membership. The Rs 303 plan offers 28 days validity and daily high-speed 4G data limit of 1GB, after which speeds will be throttled. The next is Rs 499 plan, which also offers 28 days validity, but increases the daily data limit to 2GB, after which speeds will be throttled.
Technically, if one consumes the entire 1GB / 2GB of data everyday, they tend to use 28GB / 56GB a month with Rs 303 and Rs 499 plans, respectively. But then again, there are days when you may not use the entire 1GB/2GB data, while others would want to have control of how they use data. The next set of plans are for those customers who don t want any daily data restrictions.
The Rs 999 plan offers 60 days validity and 60GB of high-speed 4G data, the Rs 1,999 plan offers 90 days validity and 125GB of high-speed data, the Rs 4,999 plan offers 180 days validity and 350GB of data, whereas the Rs 9,999 plan offers 360 days validity and 750GB of data.
The benefit of these plans is that you get the liberty to consume as much as data you want. For instance, if you go for Rs 999 plan with 60GB data and 60 days validity, you can download the entire 60GB in one go (depending on the speed), of use it over a period of 60 days. Same with the other three higher plans too. And after exhausting the given data, you can still continue to use unlimited data, with speeds throttled to 128Kbps.
Besides these plans, Reliance Jio is also offering Booster packs priced at Rs. 51 with 1GB of 4G data; Rs. 91 with 2GB of data; Rs. 201 with 5GB of data, and Rs. 301 with 10GB of data. These plans have no validity, which means they will be valid till the validity of your Jio Prime recharge where you get anywhere between 28 days to 360 days. They can come handy when you have exhausted your pack s data limit and still have some validity left.
