The telecom sector in India has become very lucrative, especially after the entry of Reliance Jio. We have seen voice calls becoming free, and data getting cheaper. In fact, telcos are having cut-throat competition to offer customers with the best possible plans. Things have gotten a little exciting after Vodafone Idea merger, and as usual, BSNL is giving tough fight to the competition. Here’s a look at prepaid plans under Rs 100 from Vodafone, Reliance Jio, Airtel and BSNL, and the benefits that they offer.
Reliance Jio Rs 98 prepaid plan
Reliance Jio has five plans priced under Rs 100. Two of which are sachet packs, two are for JioPhone users, and one is for regular users, which is priced at Rs 98. The plan comes with 28 days validity, offers 2GB 4G data, 300 SMS, unlimited local and STD calls without any FUP, and complimentary subscription to Jio app suite.
Vodafone Rs 99 prepaid plan
While Jio offers voice, data and SMS benefits, the Rs 99 prepaid plan from Vodafone only offer voice benefits. Users get unlimited local, national and roaming calls for a period of 28 days. However, there is an FUP on calling, which is limited to 250 minutes a day, and 1,000 minutes over the week.
Airtel Rs 99 prepaid plan
While Vodafone is only offering voice benefits with its Rs 99 prepaid plan, Airtel is giving a tough fight to Reliance Jio by offering voice, data and SMS benefits. The plan comes with 28 days validity, unlimited calling, and 100 SMS daily. Users also get 2GB 3G / 4G data though the validity period. However, it is important to note that 2GB data benefit is only available in select circles, whereas subscribers in other circles will get 1GB data.
BSNL Rs 99 prepaid plan
Lastly, state-run telco, BSNL also has a Rs 99 prepaid plan. It offers 26 days validity along with unlimited local and STD calling (expect Mumbai and Delhi). Sadly, the plan does not offer any data for SMS benefits to its users.
