After taking care of your data needs, Reliance Jio wants to take care of your smartphone’s battery. The company is teasing what it calls ‘JioJuice’ through its Twitter handle. In a couple of tweets, Jio is referring to ‘JioJuice’ as something which will prevent the digital life from getting interrupted. The JioJuice could be an all-new app, which will add to the Jio suite of apps and will likely assist in saving battery. As it is a beta version, we can expect it to be rolled out in a phased manner to customers or on a request basis. Jio is not revealing any other information related to the said app, other than hinting that it will be coming soon.
The timing of the teasers coincides with the closure of the Jio Prime subscription on March 31, 2018. The subscription was announced in February 2017 and it remains to be seen whether the company chooses to extend the subscription which is priced at Rs 99 for a year and offers additional data to members.
Jio has a history of announcing last-minute extensions or new offers which develop on the expiring ones and continue delivering freebies as always. According to reports, it is expected that founder Mukesh Ambani will again take to stage later tonight or tomorrow to make some announcement related to Jio Prime.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio has entered into an agreement for the combination of Saavn with JioMusic to create a digital media platform with a global reach. The total value of the agreement is said to be at $1 billion. The combined entity will seek to tap into over 1 billion users in India and globally.
