Reliance Jio has emerged as the disrupter in chief in India’s telecom market. The Mukesh Ambani-led telecom operator has forced other telecom operators to either consolidate or lower their tariffs in order to stay competitive. While Bharti Airtel and Vodafone have revised their offerings to challenge Reliance Jio, their efforts have fallen short of matching the new player. One such plan from Reliance Jio that remains unmatched by Airtel or Vodafone is the Rs 799 prepaid plan, which offers 5GB of 4G data for a period of 28 days.
Reliance Jio Rs 799 Prepaid Plan: Key benefits
The Rs 799 prepaid plan from Reliance Jio is aimed at data-heavy users, and it offers total of 140GB of 4G data. The plan lets Jio subscribers consume 5GB of data per day, and offers truly unlimited voice call benefits. The plan also gives its users 100 SMS per day benefits, and complimentary subscription to Jio Apps. With 5GB of daily data, Reliance Jio users will be able to stream videos from platforms like YouTube or watch Live TV using Jio TV app.
Airtel Rs 799 Prepaid Plan: Key benefits
Bharti Airtel also offers a prepaid plan priced at Rs 799 aimed to challenge Jio’s offering in the segment. However, the plan falls short of Jio’s offering in the amount of data offered during the period of validity. With Rs 799 prepaid plan, Bharti Airtel users get a total of 112GB of 2G/3G/4G data, which is much lower than the 140GB data offered by Jio. Airtel users get 4GB data per day for a period of 28 days in addition to other benefits such as unlimited local, STD and voice calls on national roaming. The plan also offers 100 SMS per day, and subscription to Airtel TV and Wynk Music apps.

Vodafone Rs 799 Prepaid Plan: Key benefits
Vodafone is often the one known for following on the footsteps of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel to introduce new plans challenging the two operators. In order to compete with Jio and Airtel, Vodafone also offers a Rs 799 prepaid plan as part of unlimited plans to its users.
With Rs 799 prepaid plan, Vodafone is offering more data than Airtel, but falls short of Jio’s offering. Vodafone users get a total of 126GB data for a period of 28 days. The telecom player is offering 4.5GB data per day with its Rs 799 prepaid plan. Other benefits include unlimited local, STD and roaming calls and 100 SMS per day. The plan is valid only in 4G circles and hence won’t be available across the country.
