Jio offers four prepaid plans with 1GB of 4G data offered daily. While basic benefits remain the same across all four plans, only duration of validity changes. You get unlimited calls, SMS and access to Reliance Jio suite of apps such as JioTV, JioMusic and JioCinema among others. Once the 1GB per day data gets exhausted, the speed is throttled to 64Kbps until midnight.
The first plan is priced at Rs 309, with a validity of 49 days. The second plan is priced at Rs 399 with 70 days validity. The other two plans are priced at Rs 459 with 84 days validity and Rs 499 with 91 days validity. Jio also has a postpaid plan priced at Rs 309, which offers similar benefits with 1GB daily data, per billing cycle (which is 30 days).
Vodafone has three plans that offer unlimited local and STD outgoing calls and national roaming, 100 SMS per day, along with 1GB of 3G or 4G data offered daily. However, there is a cap on the number of free calls you can make, which is 250 minutes in a day, or 1,000 minutes in a week. After the free minutes are exhausted, users will be charged 30p per minute.
The lowest plan is priced at Rs 196, which comes with a validity of 28 days. The second plan is priced at Rs 458 and comes with 70 days validity, whereas the third plan is priced at Rs 509 and comes with a validity of 84 days.
Airtel has three plans that offer 1GB 3G/4G data per day, along with benefits such as free national roaming, unlimited local and STD calls, and 100 local and national SMS per day. The lowest plan is priced at Rs 199 and comes with 28 days validity. The second plan is priced at Rs 448 and comes with 70 days validity, whereas the third plan is priced at Rs 509 and comes with 84 days validity.
Just like Vodafone, there is a cap on the outgoing calls 250 minutes per day, and 1,000 minutes per week. After the free minutes are consumed, Airtel-to-Airtel calls are charged at 10p per minute. Calls to other operators is charged at 30p per minute.
Lastly, Idea Cellular also has prepaid plans with benefits that include 1GB daily 3G / 4G data, unlimited local and national calls, free outgoing calls in roaming and 100 SMS per day. The lowest plan is priced at Rs 179 with 28 days validity. The next plan is priced at Rs 449 with 70 days validity and the last plan is priced at Rs 509.
Similar to Vodafone and Airtel, Idea has a cap on unlimited calling at 250 minutes per day, or 1,000 minutes per week. Once you exhaust the free minutes, users will be charged 1p per minute. Idea also has web exclusive offer, where users buying the Rs 449 and Rs 509 plans can get Rs 20 cash back when payment is made using Paytm wallet. What s more, users also get 1GB extra data that will kick in after the free daily data is exhausted, available through the validity.
