Reliance Jio began registration for its JioGigaFiber broadband service on August 15. The company asked interested customers to register for the service online and had announced plans to start commercial service in a phased manner based on regions that receive most interest for the fiber broadband service.

Reliance JioGigaFiber Preview Offer: 300GB data for 90 days

Now, ahead of its full-fledged availability, the Mukesh Ambani-led company has made the preview offer live for select consumers. As part of the preview plan, Reliance Jio is offering a three-month trial that will act as a ground work to test data speeds and understand overall user experience. Reliance JioGigaFiber broadband service is available with 300GB of data for a total of 90 days as part of preview offer. The plan comes with a cap of 100GB per month, which will be available absolutely free to subscribers.

However, if you end up consuming the free 100GB data allocated within a month then the company is trying to make the preview offer more lucrative. Those enrolling for this preview offer will get a complementary data top-up of up to 40GB via company’s MyJio app or through Jio.com once you exhaust the free data.

Reliance JioGigaFiber: Registration and Pricing

Reliance Jio claims that JioGigaFiber Preview offer comes with data speeds up to 1Gbps and is designed to allow users to stream 4K videos. On its registration website, the company claims that gigabit broadband speed will allow for use cases like playing VR games on a broadband network. As detailed before, Reliance JioGigaFiber is available with a one-time refundable security deposit of Rs 4,500.

The cost covers Reliance Jio’s ONT device, which acts as a Gateway for GigaHub Home. The initial refundable cost can be paid through Debit card, Credit card, Jio Money or using Paytm. Like its mobile wireless service, the JioGigaFiber broadband service is also expected to be offered with only prepaid plans at launch. The company might add postpaid plans based on response and feedback from its consumers.

Once the 90-day preview offer ends, Reliance JioGigaFiber customers will be offered an option to migrate to paid prepaid plans. Alternately, customers can also terminate their service and get the refund of their security deposit. Reliance JioGigaFiber preview offer will only be available to those who register for the service from the company website by entering their residence or work address and mobile number.

The company authenticates the registration by sending an OTP to the mobile number and registration is confirmed once you enter the authentication number. Reliance Jio executives had recently confirmed that the company plans to test in 900 cities across the country. The company also plans to piggyback on the network of local cable operators to get better coverage and faster data speeds.
