Ahead of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Reliance Jio has announced a new prepaid recharge plan focused on cricket followers. Called ‘Cricket Season Pack’, the plan is priced at Rs 251, and comes with a validity of 51 days. As users will be streaming a lot of videos to follow their favorite sport, the pack comes with 102GB high-speed 4G data.
The Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) starts on April 7, and will continue till May 27. With the Cricket Season Pack, Jio users will get an access to live streaming of IPL matches on their mobile. Users will be able to stream “almost every live match throughout the duration of 51 days starting April 7,” the company said in a press release.
“This is the first of its kind cricket pack launched by a network that is made for video and can enable millions of people to watch what they love, where they wish,” the company said. Along with the recharge, Jio has also launched a mobile game called ‘Jio Cricket Play Along’, which will be available in 11 Indian languages.

That’s not all, Jio has also announced a new TV show called ‘Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Live’ featuring comedian Sunil Grover and sports anchor, Samir Kochhar. New episodes will be aired every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
“This is going to be one of my most refreshing characters. I get to collaborate with some of the finest artists like Samir, Shilpa, Kapil and Viru paji to make India Laugh. You will see me as Professor LBW (Lallu Balle Waala) in the show, who is a self-proclaimed cricket expert. Jio is known for changing the game and this time, it’s Cricket. India has never seen Cricket from the lens of humour before, and I am looking forward to bat on this pitch,” Sunil Grover said.
To watch Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan Live, users need to download MyJio app on their Android or iOS smartphones, and tap on Press Play. The show will be free to watch, both for Jio and non-Jio users. What’s more, Jio has also partnered Hotstar, where subscribers will be able to live stream IPL matches for free, as opposed to subscribers of other network who have to buy the sports pack priced at Rs 299 for a year.
