After breaking away from Oppo, Realme, one of the newest smartphone markers on the block is planning to launch its second smartphone, the Realme 2 in the Indian market. The reason we know this is because of the number of leaks regarding the expected device has increased in the past few days. According to a report by GSMArena, the retail box for the Realme 2 leaked out on the internet. This new leak comes days after press renders for the device leaked out on the internet. Realme also launched its official website on the internet. There is no mention of the Realme 2 on the official website and the website also does not mention its past association with Oppo. Looking at the leaked image of the retail box, the white colored box will come with a bold 2 printed in almost Pantone Orange color on the front of the box. The bottom of the device seems like it has been dipped in the same color. One side of the box also shows the Realme 2 market to indicate the model of the device. The lack of mention of Oppo on the website comes weeks after Realme announced that it’s separating from its parent company Oppo to create a new company dedicated to Realme branded smartphones and associated accessories. According to the previous leak, we are expecting that the Realme 2 will come with a notched display along with the similar diamond cut back design that the company introduced with the Realme 1. The render also pointed out that the company is planning to add a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.
The company may also include a dual camera setup on the back of the device to take on the competition in the budget segment. There is no information available on the specifications of the device or details about when the company is planning to launch the device at the time of writing.
